Spatial Data Alliance

Bringing Spatial Context to
Biological Discovery

A pre-competitive collaboration advancing access to harmonized,
high-quality spatial transcriptomics data.

Overview

A Shared Foundation for
Trusted Spatial Data

The Spatial Data Alliance, led by Rancho BioSciences, is a pre-competitive collaboration uniting pharma, biotech, and academic partners to create harmonized, high-quality spatial transcriptomics datasets.

Spatial technologies provide powerful insight into tissue biology, but fragmented platforms, inconsistent standards, and incomplete metadata limit reuse and confidence. The Alliance addresses this by applying shared investment, rigorous harmonization, and a unified spatial data model that makes datasets comparable, reproducible, and AI-ready.

Building on the proven model of Rancho’s Single Cell Data Alliance, this collaboration extends the same trusted framework to the rapidly evolving field of spatial biology.
