PI3Kα inhibitor and degrader inavolisib can co-opt FGFR2 to enhance responses in patients with PIK3CA mutated solid tumors and in preclinical models

PIK3CA mutations activate PI3Kα signaling in many solid tumors, but resistance limits inhibitor efficacy. Inavolisib, a selective PI3Kα inhibitor and degrader, enhances responses by co-opting FGFR2 signaling, offering a new approach for PIK3CA-mutant cancers.

Rare Disease-Target Gene Treatment Knowledge Mining Partnership between Rancho BioSciences (Rancho) and Rady Children’s Institute for Genomic Medicine (RCIGM)

The Genome-to-Treatment platform is a knowledge-mining solution by RCIGM and Rancho BioSciences to accelerate individualized therapy for rare genetic disorders in critical infants. It curates public data sources to link gene-disease combinations to existing treatments. This process has reviewed 700 gene-disease combinations and yielded over 10,000 potential interventions for review, mitigating intervention delays in pediatric patients.

Uncovering Cellular Insights in Neonatal Sepsis

This study leveraged our expertise in single-cell RNA sequencing and subsequent data analysis. This work was crucial in dissecting the diverse phenotypes and functions of IL-27–producing cells in the liver during gram-negative neonatal sepsis, allowing for the identification of specific cell populations and their unique gene expression patterns.
