Chris O'Brien is the Chief Executive Officer of Rancho BioSciences, where he leads the company's mission to save lives through data. He works closely with Rancho's scientists, engineers, and commercial teams to scale the business, sharpen its go-to-market focus, and position Rancho as the semantic backbone for AI-ready life sciences data.

Chris brings decades of executive leadership across clinical research, life sciences data and services, and technology-enabled growth businesses. Most recently, he served as Chief Executive Officer of Biorasi, a global clinical research organization, where he now continues in a board advisory capacity. Prior to Biorasi, he served as President and Chief Operating Officer at DRG, a leading provider of data and insights to the life sciences industry. Chris has led organizations through scaling, repositioning, and M&A across the US, Europe, Asia, and South America, working extensively at the intersection of scientific expertise, data infrastructure, and analytics. He also built, and served as the host of, the long-running life sciences podcast Few & Far Between.

Chris holds a BA from Middlebury College and an MBA from The Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College.
