Amar Thyagarajan is the Chief Commercial Officer of Rancho Biosciences and is responsible for the commercial function (sales & marketing) at Rancho. He is passionate about partnering with clients to develop medicines and technologies that improve human health.

Prior to joining Rancho, Amar served as Chief Commercial Officer at Excelra and Proteros, and held senior leadership roles at Aragen Life Sciences, Crown Bioscience, and Taconic Biosciences. Across these organizations, he shaped and executed growth strategies during periods of rapid scaling, built commercial teams, led innovative sales and marketing initiatives, supported financing and IPO efforts, and drove M&A activities. He is also a board advisor at Graphio.ai.

Amar has a Ph.D. in neuroscience and biochemistry from the State University of New York, and was an Autism Speaks Postdoctoral Fellow in neuroscience and chemical biology at MIT, before transitioning into business leadership roles.
